I have the undue privilege of laying the following pieces before you. Though they were not meant as a collection, each of these poems sang harmonious notes along the same fledging chapter of our river. I have carried them with me these last months, turning them over in my mouth like worn and treasured memories. As you read, I hope they tuck themselves under your tongue for the coming back, the wanting more, and the deepening fullness of this bank of poetry.
