What I Hold On To

Kelsy Melton

Worn memories renewed, found clues in
Kept trinkets with unique value
Leaves hidden in dim pockets
Clothes that reek of summer
Mud on my white shoes
Stray grey seashell
Tear dried tissue
Same old
Blues

Kelsy Melton began writing as a part of a healing process and has since grown twice over with poetry as her soil. She is an active member of Florida State Poets Association and enjoys reading at open mics. Typical inspiration comes from nature and appreciating small moments.
